About The Position

Flight Operations Fleet Support Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Flight Operations Fleet Support Engineer to join our Flight Operations – Customer Support team in Seal Beach, California. The successful candidate is a qualified and highly motivated individual who will support safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations of the Global Boeing fleet. As part of the Flight Operations – Customer Support team you will manage complex work in a fast paced and multifaceted environment and have the opportunity to work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver world class support to our airline customers and the flying public. Position Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries on subjects including Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) and Dispatch Deviation Guide (DDG), Flight Crew Procedures (FCOM/QRH, FCTM), and ferry flight requests. Provide on and off hours support to Boeing’s 24-hour Operations Center for ferry flight requests and other time-critical customer inquiries related to flight operations. Use resourcefulness to conduct fast-paced, high-level research into customer inquiries. Coordinate with and integrate engineering teams and technical pilots to develop detailed responses. Document work with good technical details so that others can use this information to efficiently develop similar future customer responses. Continually champion improvements to technologies, tools, and processes to enhance technological readiness and reduce cycle time and cost. Assist in training others in work processes and work products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 3+ years of experience in Engineering.
  • Fluent English.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Boeing flight operations, performance software and commercial airplane performance.
  • Ability to summarize results; develop conclusions and recommendations based on relevant data sources.
