Requirements

  • Licensed Nurse - Must hold a current, unrestricted nursing license in the state of operations, maintaining certification throughout employment.
  • Critical Care Expertise - A minimum of three years in a high-acuity critical care or emergency department setting (1,600 hours/year minimum).
  • Advanced Certifications - Must maintain certification in: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), An Advanced Trauma Course (ATLS, TNCC, BTLS, TNATC, or ATCN), Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CCRN, CEN, or CFRN within one year of hire.
  • Unwavering Compliance & Integrity - Must adhere to all scope-of-practice protocols and state regulations.
  • Physical Readiness - Must weigh less than 215 pounds fully dressed at the time of hire and maintain that weight.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold professionalism at all times, maintaining a compassionate and respectful approach with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Communicate with warmth and integrity, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and inquiries, ensuring that care is delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct thorough checks of equipment, medications, and supplies at the beginning of each shift and post-flight, guaranteeing immediate readiness for patient care.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with multiple agencies, emergency responders, and healthcare facilities, demonstrating diplomacy and teamwork in high-pressure situations.
  • Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and municipal regulations, including HIPAA, EMTALA, and OSHA guidelines, ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance.
  • Maintain all required certifications, continuously striving for excellence and professional growth.
  • Step up where needed, supporting the team with additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
