We are hiring a full-time Certificated Flight Instructor for our Initial Pilot Training (IPT) Program for the United States Air Force (USAF) located in Pueblo, CO to start in January 2026. The Certificated Flight Instructor provides training, evaluates performance, and serves as a mentor/professional developer to new aviators.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine Land (CFI)
  • Current Class III Medical
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
  • Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form.
  • Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know.
  • Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.
  • All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Nice To Haves

  • 200 Hours Dual Given Flight Instructor Airplane Single and Multi-Engine; Instrument Airplane Certificated Flight Instructor teaching technologically advanced aircraft in a Part 141 flight school or Military Undergraduate Flight Training experience as a fully qualified instructor.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting training (ground and flight duties) in accordance with the applicable FAA training requirements under FAR part 141.
  • Providing ground instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other flight related subjects.
  • Conducting preflight/post flight-debriefings and providing in-flight instruction to ensure students have a thorough understanding and comprehension of the training materials.
  • Executing flight training to USAF students resulting in Private Pilot Certification with Instrument privileges for Single and Multi-Engine Land Airplane.
  • Completing gradebook entries to ensure syllabus requirements are met.
