Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. We are searching for a candidate with operations software systems and engineering skills to support spaceflight operations and ground systems software development. This position requires expertise in software systems development for operations applications and engineering expertise in multi-disciplinary environments. Satellite operations experience is preferred. The Amazon Leo Flight Dynamics Operations team supports the mission operations for the Amazon Leo Constellation. Working with the Amazon Leo engineering team, you will: Support software development efforts to improve the Amazon Leo Flight Dynamics System. Support transition from human operations-centric processes to automated workflow for flight dynamics tasks such as navigation and maneuver planning. Support novel solutions to manage the risk posed by conjunction traffic in Low Earth Orbit. Work closely with Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) engineers to manage on-orbit performance and develop flight dynamics operations process improvements.
