Ecolab is seeking a Flexographic Printing Press Operator to safely operate a flexographic press machine for producing food safety labels. This role involves ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment.   • Review job orders to determine specifications such as quantities, production times, colors, and color sequences.
  • Load, position, and adjust paper rolls on equipment.
  • Select and install printing plates, dies, and cylinders in press machines to specifications.
  • Monitor the printing process to maintain specified operating levels and detect malfunctions.
  • Adjust printing plates and pressure rolls to improve print quality.
  • Maintain consistent quality checks during production to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
  • Remove printed materials from presses and place them in designated areas.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of press machines and report safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and complete daily housekeeping assignments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Complete all job-related paperwork accurately.
  • Work with other press operators and supervisors to ensure smooth shift changeover.
  • Ensure work in the production area is performed safely and efficiently.
  • 2 years of experience running a flexographic press machine.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Communication skills.
  • Analysis skills for identifying root causes of machine problems.
  • 5 years of experience operating a flexographic press machine.
  • Proficient knowledge of production materials, quality methods, and color standards.
  • Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Systems.
  • Ability to use computer software.
  • Experience properly utilizing a manual pallet jack.
