About The Position

Purpose and role of job: The Press Intern, working under the direction of the Press Manager, is responsible for recording updating and creating operational training material and media. Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment Observe all safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times Work to learn the basics of the printing process Assist the Pre-Press department in all aspects of the process Inspect printing plates for damage and errors and log the findings Work with the Process Engineer to collect and evaluate Press trends Work with the teams to update Fusion specs Keep clear, organized records of all projects Use Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite to edit and design informational media Maintain open communication with the Press and Pre-Press Managers. Provide Managers with measurable growth data for team meetings Follow all GMP, SQF, OSHA and all Plant policies and procedures Ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to Quality requirements and meeting deadlines Conducts job in a manner which complies with the food safety program (SQF). Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Actively pursing a print or packaging related degree
  • Ability to maintain records and logs
  • Ability to operate a PC
  • Ability to use hand tools proficiently
  • Ability to work in a Tobacco Free Facility and on a Tobacco Free Campus
  • Walk/stand 100% of time during a 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.
  • Occasional climbing and reaching
  • Occasional reaching overhead during shift.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting or carrying items/product weighing 10 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying items/product weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Constant use of hands
  • Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.
  • Occasional climbing of steps.
  • Full color vision is an essential job requirement
  • Maintain 5s housekeeping standards
