Overview The Mechanic will preform electrical/mechanical corrective and preventative maintenance on liquid filing (bottle finning) equipment, manufacturing equipment, and systems which include wiring, power distribution, servo and stepper controls, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Responsibilities Work with Production Manager and other Mechanics to maximize efficiency of production lines. Perform set ups, breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance, and improvements on machines. Ensure that instructions provided in the Work Orders are being followed (i.e. correct codes, box counts, palletizing instructions) by periodically monitoring each line. Sign off job start-ups to run while ensuring setups are accurately matching the proper components with the work order. Document major repairs or adjustments in Maintenance log book. Review production paperwork for accuracy. Ensure for set up that the proper components are supplied to the production lines and staged for the next shift/job. Ensures for breakdowns that components from a prior job are removed from the production floor. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions to maintain maximum production and quality. Communicate with supervisors, operators, and other mechanics. Create legible written records. Verify product produced and labeled accurately. Follow applicable OSHA safety regulations etc. Understand FDA regulations to the operations and consequences of nonconformance. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work environment.
