About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking flexible caregivers and certified nursing assistants (CNA) to join our team in Wheaton, Illinois. This position offers a variety of shift options ranging from 1 to 12 hours, allowing you to choose a schedule that fits your lifestyle. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, Parkinson's care, fall prevention, incontinence, and hospice care, although we are willing to train the right candidates. To qualify, you must have at least one year of caregiving experience or be a current CNA, HHA, PCA, or DSP. Additionally, you must possess a valid CPR certification, have completed a work physical, and have a negative TB test within the past year. A valid driver's license, a vehicle with insurance, and reliable transportation to the job location are also required. As a caregiver, your daily responsibilities will include providing companionship and conversation, assisting with activities and mobility, light exercise or walking, meal preparation, medication reminders, and support with personal hygiene such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. You will also be responsible for light housekeeping and occasional transportation for errands or appointments. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
