About The Position

This is an immediate opportunity for a full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver with Penske Logistics. The role involves regional travel, up to 100%, where drivers will work at various locations for assignments typically lasting 1 to 3 weeks. Responsibilities include performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships, unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, and scanning products. Drivers will operate late model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with in-cab cameras for safety. Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency (compliant with 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
  • Complete Penske employment application
  • Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
  • Ability to see and hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit
  • Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area

Responsibilities

  • Travel regionally to work at various locations as needed
  • Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
  • Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
  • Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
  • Work the required schedule and at the specific location required
  • Accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
