This is a temporary position. Join us in shaping the future of associate experience at Marriott. We're seeking a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking product leader to drive the evolution of the Marriott Associate Design System (MADS), our enterprise-wide foundation for building intuitive, accessible, and brand-consistent digital tools that empower associates, hotel owners, and customer engagement teams. As the Product Manager for MADS, you'll shape and lead the vision, adoption, and governance of the design system. You'll collaborate and lead cross-functional efforts to simplify complexity, accelerate delivery, and elevate adoptability across Marriott's internal platforms.

  • Define and evolve the product strategy and roadmap for Marriott Associate Design System (MADS), ensuring alignment with AX priorities and broader enterprise goals.
  • Own the backlog and prioritize work across foundational improvements, technical debt, and new feature development.
  • Partner with AX, UX, UXR, accessibility, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality components and experiences.
  • Lead governance processes for evaluating new proposals, component requests, and contribution pathways.
  • Facilitate intake reviews and guide teams through integration.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement.
  • Champion Marriott Associate Design System (MADS) across the organization.
  • Define and track OKRs and KPIs for adoption, consistency, system health, and time-to-market improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in product management, design system management, UX strategy, design ops, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, design systems, or platform enablement roles.
  • Proven success influencing cross-functional teams and delivering scalable solutions.
  • Deep expertise in design systems and component libraries, ideally at enterprise scale.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Storybook, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and high-impact initiatives.
  • Ability to lead product lifecycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead teams without needing direction.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Strong understanding of UX and UI in web applications, accessibility standards (WCAG AA), and multi-brand design considerations.
  • Passion for enhancing associate experience and their success with internal tools.
  • Quick to learn and understand new technical concepts and technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and maintaining an enterprise-wide design system.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry and internal enterprise products is a plus.
