About The Position

The Flex Senior Manager, Market Insights is a critical member of Marriott’s Labs Program, responsible for delivering strategic insights and operational support to drive innovation and program success. This role combines deep market research, business case development, and measurement expertise to support the Labs program through its key partnerships and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA preferred) in business, economics, data science, anthropology, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, market research, or strategy roles, ideally in hospitality or technology sectors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience using statistical analysis tools preferred.
  • Ability to manipulate large, complex data sets into manageable, understandable reports.
  • Expertise in market research methodologies and business case development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with innovation programs or pilot testing environments.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry trends and customer behavior analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and landscape analyses and leverage internal data sources to build comprehensive business cases.
  • Deliver research and insights on trends, customer needs, and market dynamics.
  • Define success metrics and measurable objectives for the program and its various projects.
  • Conducting deep research, validating feasibility of innovation projects, and present business cases.
  • Defining and measuring success metrics for proof-of-concept, and supporting pilot planning.
  • Provide strategic insights and operational support to ensure the Labs program’s success.
  • Design, execute, and provide accurate and timely research.
  • Turn internal and external data into actionable insights that unlock opportunities.
  • Build business cases and opportunity sizing for new products and services.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights on a variety of projects.
  • Create and track measurement plans and KPIs for digital and physical prototypes, pilots, and projects.
  • Clearly communicate results and findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain models, tools, and databases to support data analysis and reporting for innovation projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of innovation projects, making recommendations for adjustments or improvements throughout the lifecycle.
  • Create processes, policies, and protocols for streamlining data analysis.
  • Organize and store data for future research projects.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to innovation, providing thought leadership and guidance to the team.
