About The Position

The Flex Security Officer position at Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. involves providing security services at various site locations in Downtown Des Moines, Iowa. This full-time role requires weekend availability and offers training for short-term special security assignments. Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma OR GED.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, & have a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must be able to conduct foot & / OR mobile patrols throughout shift - during various weather conditions.
• Must be able to stay alert & have great attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
• Must have reliable means of transportation & communication.
• All candidates must be able to pass a drug test & background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Military & / OR Law Enforcement experience a plus!!
• Conflict resolution & de-escalation skills preferred.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Previous Security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security for short-term special security assignments.
• Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, holidays, etc.
• Assist in start-ups at new accounts which includes working the site & training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
• Provide high level customer service to our clients & their guests.
