The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Requirements

Must have reliable transportation.
Excellent customer service skills.
Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
Exceptional report writing skills.
Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
Able to work independently.
Read and understand written instruction.
Communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form.
High School diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes.
Provide continual, uninterrupted service to customers.
Be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need.
Work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described.
Communicate with your supervisor if you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability.
Work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called for short-notice call-ins.
Perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP.
Act quickly and efficiently according to Post Orders and SOP directives.
