POSITION PURPOSE Registered Respiratory Therapist who is responsible for performing various therapeutic procedures including advanced practice procedures such as, but not restricted to operating balloon pumps (IABP), delivering inhaled Epoprostenol, performing basic bedside respiratory parameters. Participates in orientation of staff and student training programs for Trinity Health which is a teaching institution representing the Respiratory Care department. FLEX STAFF ONLY Adherence to the following schedule requirements: Submits availability for a minimum of two 12-hour shifts per schedule period where at least one of the shifts occurs on a weekend (i.e., Saturday or Sunday). Allowable, eight-hour shifts only in the following situations After the minimum requirement of two 12-hour shifts during the schedule period has been met If called last minute to accommodate an unplanned staffing need (i.e., sick calls, increased patient volume, etc). Submit to work one holiday 12-hour shift per year, which may be rotated each year. If circumstances arise whereby you arrive to work at Trinity Health and it is determined that staffing is such that services are not required, you will receive two (2) hours of pay and sent home. In reference to shift availability submission, shifts will be assigned on an as-needed basis. Specifically, shifts requested may or may not be granted, and assignment of requested shifts depends solely upon the department needs. If timely schedule availability is not submitted for two consecutive schedule periods, my employment may be terminated at the discretion of the manager. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible. Maintain current RRT credential Maintain valid State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care
