About The Position

The LPN position at Avera Sunrise Manor involves performing focused nursing assessments, gathering and recording assessment data, and monitoring changes in patients' conditions. Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in the state of practice.
• One year of RN/LPN experience required upon hire.

• Visual acuity and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional nursing care to residents according to their needs.
• Supervise nursing activities within the facility.
• Conduct daily rounds and communicate with team members.
• Contact providers and maintain good working relationships.

• Obtain specimens for lab tests as ordered.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner.

• Maintain departmental policies and procedures.
• Initiate resident referrals, transfers, and discharges.
• Assist in training and education of nursing staff.
• Maintain supplies and equipment following infection control policies.
• Provide resident and family education.
