Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• Current license to practice as an RN in Florida.
• Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 2-5 years’ experience as RN.

Responsibilities

• Assume direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment.
• Provide care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team.
• Coordinate and delegate care in a safe, secure and clean environment.
• Ensure care provided displays respect for the patient’s rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs.
• Be adaptable, using evidenced based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort, relieving pain and alleviating anxiety.
