About The Position

The Flex Packaging Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing the packaging technicians in the repackaging process, ensuring efficient product flow and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves directing team activities, addressing performance issues, and maintaining operational efficiency in the packaging area.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in pharmaceutical packaging preferred.
• Certified Pharmaceutical Technician desired.
• High School Degree/GED required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware and PC Windows.
• Working knowledge of mechanical packaging equipment.
• Good organizational skills, accurate, reliable, and efficient.

• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct packaging technicians in repackaging units under the Supervisor's direction.
• Ensure good product flow and assist in label checking and verification of finished products.
• Generate reports as required by the Supervisor.
• Identify attendance and performance issues and administer progressive discipline counseling as needed.
• Trace daily requirements and ensure completion based on current priorities.
• Assist in moving packaging personnel to balance line production for maximum output.
• Occasionally operate equipment to meet daily production requirements.
• Ensure the repackaging area meets OSHA requirements and report occupational accidents timely.
• Provide necessary information to the Supervisor regarding packaging performance.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the work area.
• Cross-train employees and assist newly hired employees to meet performance requirements.
• Ensure employees follow operating procedures and meet cGMP requirements.
