About The Position

The Manager, Property Management Systems (PMS) – FSPMS, is part of the Global Operations (GO) Department. This position will provide operational input and PMS subject matter expertise to support FSPMS, and possibly FOSSE, LightSpeed, & Opera property management systems. This position also plays an active role in supporting the future PMS strategy including providing input into design, testing, training, deployment, and support. This position will report to the Senior Director, Global Property Management Systems. The core focus areas for this role are: 1. Support the Full-Service PMS (FSPMS) product by providing subject matter expertise 2. Support FSPMS related change management materials 3. Collect and participate in prioritization of automation ideas

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of hotel experience or other relevant experiences using FSPMS
  • Experience creating tools in Secure CRT and/or Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team

Nice To Haves

  • Management experience in Rooms Operations at a full-service Marriott property
  • Familiarity with other Property Management Systems, such as FOSSE, LightSpeed, Opera, and related systems such as MARSHA, CI/TY, etc.
  • Proven track record of success working in or with fast-paced, customer focused organizations
  • Strong negotiating, influencing, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment within budgets and timelines

Responsibilities

  • Support existing hotels and support teams with process and business-related questions
  • Create and manage standard processes to support new tasks and organization
  • Collect and prioritize FSPMS automation ideas
  • Work with Stakeholders of other disciplines to provide operational input and identify operational needs and enhancements
  • Work with Continent business leaders
  • Supports PMS impacting projects from the operational/business perspective.
  • Supports development and maintenance of PMS knowledge, MGS pages and other documentation
  • Communicates concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand
  • Works with continent teams to draft communications regarding PMS impacts and enhancements
  • Partner with IT Organization to provide operational input into support process and ensure process is in place to manage business requests from hotels
  • Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
