About The Position
We currently have an opening for a Fleet Truck Mechanic.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required, and/or some college education.
- Previous working experience within a shop as a mechanic and knowledge within the trucking industry.
- 1 year of air brake experience to perform federal inspections and services.
- Air system and ABS diagnostic experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs assigned DOT inspections, preventative maintenance services and repairs on company equipment.
- Observes and repairs minor discrepancies.
- Completing basis electrical repairs.
- Complete troubleshoot air brake system repairs.
- Install tires and wheels.
- Reports observed major discrepancies to supervisor and corrects as instructed.
- Documents all corrective action performed on job repair orders.
- Maintains safe, clean, orderly work areas.
- Performs assigned maintenance and repairs on yard equipment and shop tools.
- Uses best and or safe practices while performing assigned duties.
- All other duties as assigned.
