About The Position
Raymour & Flanigan, voted Retailer of the Year by the National Furniture Association, is the fastest growing furniture retailer in the northeast. We are currently seeking a full time Fleet Transporter. A Fleet Transporter is responsible to pick up and deliver straight trucks and vans to our Customer Service/Distribution Centers and dealerships, yard shifter, inventory/ parts control and provide general facility support functions. Requirements
- Clean Driving Record
- Must have 2 years accident free
- Must pass all DOT required pre-employment criteria as well as company mandated hair follicle drug test and criminal background check
- Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Commitment to Raymour & Flanigan's safety policies and procedures.
- Yard shifter, when needed.
- Inventory/parts control
- Must have positive attitude and be able to work independently.
- Provide general facility support functions.
- Order parts
- Pick up parts when needed
- Visually inspection waste oil tank /fuel tank
- Assist in yard checks of fleet vehicles
- Keep accurate logs for all trucks/vans moved
- Light duty repairs, ie change light bulbs, wipers etc.
- Audit and close repair orders in computer tracking system
- Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management
