The Fleet Technician will perform maintenance and repair of all Goodwill Industries vehicles, trailers, forklifts, trucks and other warehouse equipment in an effort to cost effectively ensure safe operations and to prolong the useful life of the equipment. Job Description Essential Functions Perform repair work on vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions and emergency roadside repair in a safe efficient, and quality manner. Comply with all state and federal regulations in regards to vehicle maintenance and repairs. Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize the safety, productivity, and life of the unit. Repair and maintain all Goodwill Industries forklifts and other warehouse equipment, as assigned within scheduled time frame, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Perform maintenance and repair welding on equipment. Fabricate parts as required including any design work needed. Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times. Perform DOT inspections. Perform preventive maintenance on trucks such as fluid changes, lubrications, safety inspections, and brake repairs. Regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy. Other duties as assigned by management. Fabricate parts as needed to complete repair including any design work. Perform welding repair to manufacturer's guidelines.
