About The Position
The City of Lake Oswego is seeking qualified candidates for the Fleet Technician position within the Motor Pool Division of the Public Works Department. The Motor Pool shop is responsible for the maintenance and repair of City owned fleet, which includes a wide variety of vehicles, along with small and large equipment. Under the direction of the Assistant Public Works Director, this full-time position will be assigned to perform skilled mechanical work that ranges from routine tune ups to complex repairs on all types of City fleet. The selected individual will be expected to utilize computerized diagnostic tools and online programs to assist with maintenance tasks, as well as an electronic fleet work order system to organize and maintain records. In addition, the Fleet Technician will be expected to provide internal customer service to all fleet users within the City organization.
