About The Position

We are presently seeking to fill a Fleet Technician A (C Vacancy) position at our Albany location, with a minimum starting pay rate of $36.67. Under direct supervision to perform ordinary types of repair and maintenance work on equipment, such as adjusting and relining brakes, grinding valve seats, refacing and adjusting valves; and to assist Fleet Technicians of a higher grade.

Requirements

New York State Inspection License is preferred (heavy duty, light duty and emissions).
Class A CDL License is preferred.
A minimum of five (5) valid ASE certifications, including but not limited to T-1, T-2, T-4, T-5, T-8 or Equivalent is preferred
Complete set of professional grade automotive repair tools required.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Mechanics is required (heavy duty experience (trucks) and/or light duty).
