About The Position

We are presently seeking to fill a Fleet Technician A (C Vacancy) position at our Watertown location, with a minimum starting pay rate of $37.81. In addition, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more. Under direct supervision to perform ordinary types of repairs and maintenance work on vehicles and equipment, such as tires, brakes, lights, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, state inspections; and to assist Fleet Technicians of a higher grade.

Requirements

Basic computer knowledge required
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy
Must own professional grade automotive repair tools as required by company

Nice To Haves

Valid New York State Inspection License (heavy duty, light duty and emissions) is preferred
Valid Class A CDL License is preferred or ability to obtain one within one year
Minimum of five (5) valid ASE certifications, including but not limited to T-1, T-2, T-4, T-5, T-8 or Equivalent is preferred
