About The Position

Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA) is PepsiCo's beverage manufacturing, sales, and distribution operating unit. Fleet Mechanics play a key role in the success of our business by ensuring the reliability of our fleet and supporting the safety of our Drivers. As an experienced Fleet Mechanic, you will work with a high degree of independence while performing PMs and repairs, utilizing leading edge technology and programs. You will leverage and grow your skills working on Pepsi's diverse fleet equipment including automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts. You will perform advanced diagnostics across all OE platforms and high-level repairs such as engine and driveline, after treatment and emissions, and safety systems. You will also adapt and build repair and maintenance capability for alternative fuel applications such as electric vehicles and CNG.

Requirements

  • Must have own basic hand tools.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Brakes Certification.
  • Experience or training involving hydraulic and air brake systems.
  • Experience performing after treatment and emissions repairs.
  • Experience using diagnostic platforms.
  • Experience working under limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with parts management and inventory controls.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experience repairing forklifts.
  • Experience with manufacturing standard manuals.
  • ASE Electrical Certification.
  • Experience driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PMs and repairs on fleet vehicles.
  • Utilize technology and programs for diagnostics and maintenance.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics across various platforms.
  • Perform high-level repairs including engine and driveline.
  • Maintain documentation and records such as vehicle records and pre-trip checklists.
  • Support safety culture by adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
