About The Position

Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA) is PepsiCo's beverage manufacturing, sales, and distribution operating unit. Fleet Mechanics play a key role in the success of our business by ensuring the reliability of our fleet and supporting the safety of our Drivers. As an experienced Fleet Mechanic, you will work with a high degree of independence while performing PMs and repairs, utilizing leading edge technology and programs. You will leverage and grow your skills working on Pepsi's diverse fleet equipment including automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts. Requirements

  • Must have own basic hand tools.
  • At least 18 years of age (21 years or older if CDL required).
  • Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable).
  • Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable).
  • CDL Class B License required.
  • Adhere to DOT Regulations (if required).
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • ASE, Macs or Military AC certification.
  • Experience or training involving hydraulic and air brake systems.
  • Experience performing after treatment and emissions repairs.
  • Experience performing driveline repairs.
  • Experience performing engine repairs.
  • Experience using diagnostic platforms.

  • Welding experience.
  • Experience with parts management and inventory controls.
  • Experience working under limited supervision.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experience working with computers.
  • Experience repairing forklifts.
  • Experience with manufacturing standard manuals.

  • Experience with shift work.

  • Maintenance experience with alternative fuel applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PMs and repairs on fleet vehicles.
  • Utilize technology and programs for diagnostics and maintenance.
  • Work on a diverse range of equipment including trucks, vans, and forklifts.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and high-level repairs.
  • Adapt and build repair capabilities for alternative fuel applications.
  • Maintain documentation and records such as vehicle records and pre-trip checklists.
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs.
  • Support safety culture by adhering to safety standards.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to other Fleet Mechanics.
