About The Position

Peraton is hiring a Fleet Support Representative (FSR) who will be based in Stennis, MS. This role will be on-site. You will be attached to an Unmanned Underwater Vehicle team and be responsible for the training, maintenance, documentation, and repair of multiple MK 18 Family of Systems (FoS) Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV's) during an 18-month training cycle followed by an overseas deployment of no less than 6 months, other travel may be required. What you'll do: Provide on the job training for Fleet operators or other personnel on the MK 18 FoS UUVs and related system equipment; Provide subject matter expertise in the operation and application of MK 18 Family of Systems (FOS) advanced sensors Enter Failure Analysis Reports (FARs) and other maintenance action reports on the MK 18 Reachback website, or other maintenance and logistics tracking systems as required. Support US Navy Forces for CONUS and OCONUS Mine Countermeasure (MCM) Response for MCM operations tasking, including ongoing UUV experimentation of emerging technologies related to UUV mission. Assist military units with mission and exercise planning and execution, post-mission support and reporting, operational maintenance and troubleshooting, and failure analysis reporting. Assist with management of system performance data, to include collecting, storing, analyzing and generating reports. Conduct basic to intermediate level troubleshooting and maintenance on the MK18 UUV system and other platforms. Periodic travel CONUS or OCONUS to support Fleet operations at various military bases, government facilities, or to conduct shipboard operations out at sea. Travel, lodging, and compensation provided by the company. Demonstrating experience and proficiency with MS Office products, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Meeting the MIL-STD for weight carrying limits and satisfying the requirements to handle man-portable UUV’s and equipment.

Requirements

  • BS/BA and 2 years experience or a HS diploma and 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must have 2 years of Unmanned Systems operational experience
  • 2 years’ experience of MK 18 Family of Systems UUV operational experience, including at least six months of operational UUV experience in direct support of military operations
  • US Citizenship required with an Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain Secret clearance within 6 months of employment
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Valid US passport
  • Must have the ability to lift the MIL Standard
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Class “C” Driver License, Cat 3 crane certification, 25k and below forklift operator’s license within 60 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting test and evaluation of Unmanned/Robotics systems, including gathering, recording, analyzing, and reporting performance data
  • Experience developing and writing documents on programmatic subjects, such as UUV tactics and doctrine, operations, deployment guides, standard operating procedures
  • Small marine craft qualifications and experience
  • Side-scan sonar and ROV operator experience
