About The Position

- The Fleet Supervisor at NOVO Building Products is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's fleet of vehicles. This role ensures that all vehicles are maintained in optimal condition, comply with safety regulations, and are utilized efficiently to support the company's operational needs. The Fleet Supervisor will play a critical role in managing logistics, coordinating with drivers, and implementing cost-effective strategies to enhance fleet performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
  • Proven track record of supervising teams and managing fleet operations efficiently.
  • Experience in coordinating and optimizing transportation routes and schedules.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards related to fleet operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to handle complex logistics challenges.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with drivers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to improve fleet performance.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Coordinate with drivers to assign routes and schedules, optimizing delivery times and fuel efficiency.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are serviced regularly and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to align fleet activities with company objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits of fleet operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Provide training and support to drivers on safety protocols and company policies.
  • Handle any incidents or emergencies involving fleet vehicles, coordinating with relevant authorities as necessary.
