The Fleet Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles. This role involves supporting vehicle inventory, coordinating maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing fleet performance. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Safety Ensure all vehicles comply with safety, emissions, and other regulatory requirements. Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards governing fleet operations. Ability to safely operate any and all company assets (vehicles, heavy equipment, etc) Technical Acumen Maintain accurate records of all company vehicles, including registration, insurance, and maintenance history. Schedule routine maintenance and inspections for all fleet vehicles. Coordinate repairs and service with external vendors or in-house mechanics. Skillset on a computer to use technology as an efficient means of fleet support. Financial Management Understand, monitor, and control fleet-related expenses, including maintenance, repairs, and fuel costs. Prepare and maintain budgets for vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and operating costs. Continuous Improvement Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance fleet efficiency. Provide recommendations to management based on analysis and insights Quality Control Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Maintain documentation and records to demonstrate compliance with regulations. Sustainability Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle utilization to optimize fleet efficiency Project Execution Coordinate vehicle acquisitions, disposals, and transfers as needed.
