You will still be a hands-on mechanic, but you’ll also have the freedom and responsibility to help ensure the shop operates efficiently and proactively. You’ll have real autonomy: Manage your day and prioritize repairs Help establish systems that keep the fleet reliable Identify maintenance improvements before problems occur Help keep the shop organized and efficient Work closely with the leadership team to help the company succeed You’ll share the shop with one other mechanic , and together you’ll keep our fleet running at a high level. Fleet You’ll Help Maintain 50+ company vehicles Multiple trailers Various commercial lawn and landscape equipment Assist the small-engine mechanic when needed Our goal is minimal downtime and proactive maintenance, and we want someone who takes pride in making that happen in a clean and organized shop. What We're Looking For We’re searching for someone who: Has 5+ years of mechanical experience Is a strong diagnostic mechanic Is organized and detail-oriented Takes pride in running an efficient and clean shop Can prioritize work and manage time well Is willing to help where needed, including supporting small engine repairs Wants to contribute to the success of the business, not just clock in and out Responsibilities Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles Perform preventative maintenance and inspections Maintain repair records and service schedules Help keep the shop organized and running efficiently Coordinate with the other mechanic on equipment repairs Identify ways to reduce downtime and extend equipment life Compensation $28 – $38 per hour depending on experience Stable full-time position Opportunity to help shape and improve shop operations Work environment where your input actually matters Who Will Thrive Here The person who succeeds in this role is the mechanic who: Notices inefficiencies and fixes them Keeps things organized without being asked Thinks two steps ahead on maintenance Enjoys solving problems and improving systems If you’ve ever thought “If I were running this shop, things would run better,” we’d like to talk with you.
