About The Position

The City of Central Point is hiring a Fleet Services Technician! 1 opening | Fleet Division Join our team supporting the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of City vehicles and equipment. Requirements

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) with basic math, reading and writing skills at a 12th grade level.
  • One year of experience vehicle servicing, lube technician duties, or related field; and,
  • Have a basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable record at hire.
  • Must obtain CPR/First Aid within 6 months of hire.
  • Must live within a 45-minute response time of 235 S. Haskell St. within 180 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
  • Experience in a municipal or fleet maintenance environment.
  • Basic coursework or technical training in automotive or diesel maintenance.
  • CDL "A" or willingness to obtain within a specified time frame.

  • Medical/Dental/Vision: Regence $150 individual/$450 family deductible plan. Employee pays 10% of the total premium (The employee portion for 2026 is $191.12 per month).
