We’re currently recruiting for a Fleet Services Technician (swing-shift). Reporting to the Fleet Services Supervisor, the primary responsibilities for the job are to provide routine safety inspections, servicing, and maintenance for a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment including emergency response, heavy and light construction, light automotive, vacuum, jetter, aerial lift and dump trucks, sweepers, paving equipment, trailers, and a variety of power-driven specialty equip. Locate, diagnose, and repair mechanical deficiencies; design, and fabricate parts to adapt fleet to meet working requirements of departments as a part of setup and/or later modifications. This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt union position. This position is covered under the provisions of an agreement between the City and the JLC-Machinists union. The schedule for this position is M-Th, 3:30pm to 2am – this swing shift schedule would include premium pay due to the hours.
