About The Position
Shaw Industries is seeking a 1st Shift Fleet Services Manager for Plant 69 in Dalton, GA. Under the general direction of the Sr. Manager – Fleet Services, the Fleet Services Manager will plan, organize, manage, direct, and supervise a program for the servicing, maintaining, and repairing all of Shaw’s local transportation equipment. This position recommends policies and procedures for Shaw’s transportation fleet maintenance and operation; provides a safe, efficient, and reliable fleet of vehicles for Shaw Transport’s use. This person will demonstrate the ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across various levels of the organization. He or she will possess the skills necessary to use data to drive decisions and effectively communicate those decisions and insights to others in the organization. The Fleet Services Manager oversees the operations of the in-house maintenance shop (Plants 69) and mobile maintenance operations (internally and externally). The position produces and implements maintenance programs and training that meets the specific requirements of the Shaw transportation fleet and ensures that all maintenance staff and maintenance practices meet the requirements of the Federal, State, and Local Department of Transportation Safety Regulations.
