Fleet Service Worker I (FLEX)
About The Position
Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates possessing the strongest skills and experience for this position will be forwarded to the hiring department for further evaluation and to determine who will be invited to the formal interview process. The successful candidate may be required to pass a drug screening, background check and may be required to pass a job-related physical evaluation. GENERAL PURPOSE Under general supervision, services and inspects vehicles and equipment; assists journey-level mechanics; and performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Fleet Service Worker I - One year of responsible vehicle servicing experience.
- A valid Nevada commercial driver's license, Class A and appropriate endorsements, or the ability to obtain one within six months of date of hire, and the ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy.
Nice To Haves
- The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate experience scheduling and performing preventative maintenance on multiple vehicles and equipment; This candidate will have knowledge of vehicle inspections, including adding and/or changing fluids, oils, lubricants, and filters; The ideal candidate will be able perform all above tasks with little to no supervision, while maintaining service records and logs.
