About The Position
Fleet Service Workers service vehicles and/or light, medium, and heavy construction and maintenance equipment, perform preventive maintenance, issue vehicles to employees, and perform basic diagnostic and repair work. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. The Nevada Department of Transportation is recruiting to fill the Fleet Service Worker III position in Carson City, Nevada. The Service Worker III position is responsible for servicing vehicles and/or light, medium, and heavy construction and maintenance equipment. Incumbent will perform tire repair/replacement on medium and heavy trucks. The candidate will also perform basic diagnostics and repairs on NDOT equipment. The incumbent is also responsible in assisting Mechanics with repairs when needed.
