About The Position

Fleet Service Workers service vehicles and/or light, medium, and heavy construction and maintenance equipment, perform preventive maintenance, issue vehicles to employees, and perform basic diagnostic and repair work. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This position is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. NDOT is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a FLEET SERVICE WORKER III, to assist with a variety of maintenance and operational tasks.

Requirements

• Knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently
• Ability to perform basic diagnostic and repair work

Responsibilities

• Servicing equipment by lubricating parts
• Changing oil and filters
• Performing other preventive maintenance to minimize repairs
• Tire replacement
• Washing vehicles
• Supporting equipment movement as needed
• Maintaining cleanliness in the shop
• Participating in yard clean-up to ensure a safe and organized work environment
