Fleet Service Workers service vehicles and/or light, medium, and heavy construction and maintenance equipment, perform preventive maintenance, issue vehicles to employees, and perform basic diagnostic and repair work. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This position is located in Elko, Nevada. This position involves performing preventive maintenance on various vehicles and equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical failures, and conducting repairs to ensure proper functioning of systems. Repairing NDOT equipment, operating diagnostic equipment, managing repair orders, and adhering to safety guidelines are also part of the job.
