About The Position

The Fleet & Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the operational efficiency of fleet management and safety activities within the organization. This position involves a blend of administrative, organizational, and communication tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of fleet logistics and safety protocols. The coordinator will oversee vehicle maintenance, compliance with safety regulations, and effective communication with vendors and staff, contributing to the overall mission of providing accessible mental health care in the community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of related experience in office administrative procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
  • Ability to lift and drag at least 75 lbs.

  • Experience in vehicle maintenance and logistics optimization.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure fleet operates at full capacity.
  • Optimize fleet utilization and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with mechanics and vendors for timely vehicle inspections and repairs.
  • Deliver vehicles between maintenance locations and contract cities.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles regularly.
  • Ensure fleet safety and performance standards are upheld and escalate concerns to management.
  • Utilize logistics and fleet management software effectively.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is current and compliant with regulations.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for fleet operations.
  • Enforce safety guidelines in accordance with company policy and regulations.
  • Train new drivers and recertify employees on safety protocols.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and Mobile Operations personnel.
  • Communicate changes in schedules or routes to relevant parties.
  • Monitor and manage equipment and supplies inventory for the fleet.
