Make a difference with us! A Fleet Porter to assist our fleet department in the efficient movement and organization of ambulances. You will be responsible for moving vehicles between operating stations, to/from vendors, and picking up parts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a fleet or transportation environment.
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently, including backing up and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in outdoor environments and inclement weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move ambulances between company operating locations for fleet repairs and maintenance.
  • Assist in the occasional loading and unloading of equipment and supplies onto ambulances as needed for fleet purposes.
  • Coordinate with the Shop Foreman to prioritize vehicle movement based on operational requirements. .
  • Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate activities and address any issues that arise.
  • Clean Fleet shop area
  • Clean/detail ambulances, as assigned.
  • Assist in other duties within the fleet department as assigned.
