POSITION SUMMARY The Fleet Operations Supervisor will lead the Orange, TX fleet operations and optimize our company's vehicle fleet operations. The Fleet Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, safety compliance, driver management, and cost control. This position will have direct supervision of all delivery specialists and wastewater drivers. This role will also be the primary backup for the Fleet Manager as well as the Supply Chain Operations Lead, which supports our 3PL/4PL partner. Key Characteristics: Regulatory Compliance & Safety Management: Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, driver qualification standards (DOT/FMCSA), Hours of Service requirements, and ISO standards. Ability to ensure fleet operations maintain full compliance with federal regulations and company policies while prioritizing safety across multiple sites. Fleet Operations & Maintenance Oversight: Comprehensive understanding of fleet management including preventative maintenance scheduling, equipment inspections, repair coordination, and asset lifecycle management. Capable of minimizing downtime, controlling costs, and implementing process improvements through Lean/5S methodologies. People Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to lead, train, and develop delivery specialists through recruitment, performance management, and conflict resolution. Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders including corporate schedulers, repair vendors, and multi-site teams to optimize route planning and share best practices.
