About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee our fleet operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the trucking industry, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with McLeod Transportation Management Software (TMS) or similar systems is essential. A strong sense of individual and team accountability is crucial for success in this role. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in load planning to optimize freight operations.

Requirements

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
• Proven experience in load planning and freight optimization.
• Extensive experience with McLeod TMS or similar Transportation Management Systems.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Strong sense of individual and team accountability, with a track record of owning responsibilities and driving team success.
• Proficient with fleet management software and standard office applications.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fleet operations, including safety, dispatching, planning, maintenance, and compliance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of fleet dispatchers and planners to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of services by optimizing fleet utilization.
• Strategically plan and organize freight loads to maximize efficiency and profitability while meeting customer requirements.
• Utilize McLeod TMS or similar Transportation Management Systems for planning, tracking, and managing fleet operations.
• Foster effective communication channels between dispatchers, planners, drivers, and other stakeholders to address issues promptly.
• Oversee the planning of efficient routes to maximize productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Address operational challenges proactively and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and transportation regulations.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and ensure high levels of service delivery.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Promote a culture of accountability within the team, emphasizing individual responsibility and collaborative success.
• Manage fleet budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
