About The Position
We are currently recruiting for a full time Fleet Mechanic to join our team. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package - $26.00 - $29.00/hr The Fleet Mechanic will perform maintenance associated with our delivery fleet, trailers and forklifts. This is a full time position with overtime. The hours during our peak season are 5:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Some Saturday hours required 5:00-10:30 during peak season. Hours are adjusted during off peak season.
Requirements
- Requires experience repairing gas/diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Must have at least 1 year experience working as a mechanic
- Experience in repairing truck brake systems (including hydraulic and air), and electrical systems
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs when necessary
- Must have own tools
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Nice To Haves
- Welding, torching and small fabrication skills is a plus
- CDL preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and documenting all phases of vehicle maintenance.
- Preventative maintenance and service of fleet vehicles at assigned intervals
- Documentation of PM reports & equipment repair logs
- Hydraulic and engine repairs
