About The Position

High Transit LLC is the specialty hauler for the affiliated companies of High Industries Inc. The company also provides specialty heavy hauling services to the construction and manufacturing industries. Located at High Transit in Lancaster, PA. The Fleet Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, welding, maintaining and repairing a variety of road, industrial, and construction equipment. This position will support our 3rd Shift team working Sunday-Thursday from 9:00PM to 6:30AM (can vary) Third-shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience as a fleet maintenance mechanic
• General welding experience required
• Driver's License required

Nice To Haves

• A valid Class 7 State Inspection and Emissions license is preferred, we are willing to train candidates without this license in order to obtain it
• ASE Certifications and Refrigeration license a plus
• The ability to work in both a team and independent environment, making decisions without the assistance of supervision

Responsibilities

• Must perform local, state, and federal inspections on all types of equipment
• Perform repairs to Peterbilt's, flatbed trailers, Over-head Cranes, Forklifts and other material handling and heavy equipment
• Ability to perform brake reconditioning, suspension repairs, replacement of seals, alternators, starters, clutch, transmission and other general repairs for Class 1 to Class 8 vehicles.
• Perform repairs to tractor electronics
• Complete welding repairs
• Candidate may be required to perform road service a few times a year
• May work in outdoor elements at times
