The Fleet Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, welding, maintaining and repairing a variety of road, industrial, and construction equipment. This position will support our 3rd Shift team working Sunday-Thursday from 9:00PM to 6:30AM (end time can vary) Third-shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a fleet maintenance mechanic
• General welding experience required
• Driver's License required

Nice To Haves

• A valid Class 7 State Inspection and Emissions license is preferred, we are willing to train candidates without this license in order to obtain it
• ASE Certifications and Refrigeration license a plus
• The ability to work in both a team and independent environment, making decisions without the assistance of supervision

Responsibilities

• Must perform local, state, and federal inspections on all types of equipment
• Perform repairs to Peterbilt's, flatbed trailers, Over-head Cranes, Forklifts and other material handling and heavy equipment
• Ability to perform brake reconditioning, suspension repairs, replacement of seals, alternators, starters, clutch, transmission and other general repairs for Class 1 to Class 8 vehicles.
• Perform repairs to tractor electronics
• Complete welding repairs
• Candidate may be required to perform road service a few times a year
• May work in outdoor elements at times
