Our team is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate w ill perform heavy equipment, small, medium, and large truck repair, and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards. This would include but not limited to r unning diagnostics on equipment, work closely with other team members to meet company goals, and ensure uptime of production equipment is acheived. Our equipment consists of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Ford, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Komptech, Vermeer, Tigercat, Freightliner, Bobcat, Sennebogen, Rotochopper, Vector, and Volvo . Requirements

  • High school or GED equivalent (Preferred)
  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Welding experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent reading and writing skills

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Diesel Certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor and major repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment including inspection and preventative maintenance repairs
  • Maintain parts inventory, cleanliness in the shop and service vehicles
  • Collaborate with maintenance team to diagnose problems with vehicles, plan, and make repairs
  • Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks and heavy equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles using our computerized maintenance management system

  • Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make necessary recommendations
