About The Position

The position involves the service and repair of all fleet vehicles, ensuring they are maintained in optimal condition. The technician will perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, replacing belts and hoses, inspecting brakes, repacking bearings, and checking tires on all sizes of vehicles. Additionally, the technician will diagnose and repair mechanical, engine, and electrical issues across the fleet. Responsibilities also include driving both automatic and standard shift vehicles for testing, transferring, and picking up/delivering parts, as well as managing inventory and ordering necessary parts and supplies.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges in English.
• Ability to write work orders and purchase orders.
• Ability to communicate verbally in English using telephone for ordering parts and supplies.
• Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 50 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in horizontal position for prolonged periods.
• Ability to hoist any size vehicle with a lift device using foot and arm pumping motion.
• Ability to lift and hold parts in position while lying on back on a concrete floor.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair all fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance including lube, oil changes, replacing belts and hoses, inspecting brakes, repacking bearings, and checking tires.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, engine, and electrical irregularities/malfunctions on all size vehicles.
• Drive automatic and standard shift vehicles for testing, transfer, and pick-up/delivery of parts.
• Perform inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.

Benefits

• Full-time schedule consists of an average of 40 hours per week for a 5-day period.
• Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour.
