About The Position

$3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! Pay up to $49 per hour depending upon experience4 DAY WORK WEEK! Our Clarke / Vehicare team is currently looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Truck Technician with the desire to expand their career and training into alternative fueled vehicles. Do you have Truck Mechanic / Truck technician experience? We would like to talk with you! We have an industry leading training department to enhance your skills. From minor truck repairs to CNG fuel system inspections, CNG engine maintenance, or major internal CNG engine repair, this opportunity is an exciting next step for your future growth. Don’t have CNG experience? Don’t worry, we will provide the training you need to do your job safely and efficiently all while you are getting paid! Our shop facilities are clean and organized using our 6S processes across our network. We have the tooling, equipment, and diagnostic software for you to be successful in providing high quality preventative, predictive, maintenance and repair services. Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience REQUIRED
  • Diagnostic skills to include Cummins Insite or similar software program
  • Certificate or degree from college or technical school preferred
  • CDL preferred
  • Ideal candidate must provide a combination of formal training certificates, such as ASE, Supplier Training, OEM Training and/or Drivetrain Training
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
  • No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate or degree from college or technical school preferred

  • Ideal candidate must provide a combination of formal training certificates, such as ASE, Supplier Training, OEM Training and/or Drivetrain Training

Responsibilities

  • Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to perform and record all repairs
  • Repairs and maintains customer vehicles, Class 8 CNG Tractors.
  • Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs, and scheduled maintenance
  • Test drive vehicles over 26,000 GVW.
  • Assist other technicians when needed.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Standard tech owned tools are required.
  • Major shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialty training is provided.
