Responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner to ensure minimal downtime and proper operations of equipment by performing the following duties: Principal Responsibilities: Performs scheduled maintenance of fleet vehicles, i.e., brake repairs, oil changes, fluid changes, lubrications, and safety inspections as assigned. Performs external engine repairs. Internal engine knowledge preferred. Working knowledge in repair of vehicle drivelines, clutch replacements, electrical systems, and a/c systems. Must have knowledge of trailer lighting, air systems, brakes, and tires. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe shop environment. CDL preferred for moving trucks between yards and test driving equipment. Must be available for occasional service calls. Participates and contributes to company safety program. Performs other related duties as assigned.
