About The Position

The Fleet Manager serves as the primary supervisor and representative for drivers within the Mondovi Operations department. This role focuses on managing driver performance, ensuring effective communication, and striving for optimal driver and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational ability and detail-oriented.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic typing skills.
• A college degree in business or five years of experience in fleet management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole communications link to drivers, providing load information, advances, purchase orders, maintenance coordination, performance counseling, and company updates.
• Manage the assigned fleet of tractors and drivers to ensure optimum performance in areas such as on-time pickup and delivery, pallet management, out of route miles, hours of service compliance, driver availability, special routing needs, and cost control.
• Ensure each driver understands customer and company expectations for each load at the point of dispatch.
• Maintain daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by authorized personnel.
