About The Position

Fleet Manager for a fleet of diesel transit buses. Displays a sense of urgency and exhibits outstanding organizational and record keeping skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 3 years or more of Fleet Management Experience - including full responsibility for fleet maintenance.
• Experience using fleet management software for the tracking and scheduling of fleet maintenance.
• Must be ASE Certified.
• Other Certifications including hydraulic brake certification, A/C, Cummins Engines, Allison Transmissions, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Cummins Engines- Preferred.
• Experience with Allison Transmissions- Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees 4 diesel mechanics.
• Responsible for all Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections.
• Responsible for work orders, parts ordering, and inventory control.
• Responsible for daily pre/post trip inspections.
• Utilizes fleet software and drives efficiencies.
• Maintains positive, proactive contact with outside vendors, especially for repairs.
• Monitors fleet mileage.
• Tracks all repairs for each bus.
• Completes monthly maintenance report for the client, assures accuracy, and meets deadlines.
• Schedules, plans, tracks, monitors or performs inspections (as required): including but not limited to preventive maintenance, pre/post trip, Fire Line, etc.
• Needs to be available on the weekend and overnight.
• Organized and proactive.
• Other duties as assigned.
